Welcome
Equine Photography Experience “Heart of the Horse” Fall Workshop 2009
October 2-4, St. Cloud Minnesota
with Instructors Kimerlee Curyl and Shelley Paulson
You are invited to join us for a unique workshop, focused on exploring the relationship between horses and people through the medium of photography.
This is not like typical “how-to” workshops, which focus mainly on camera technique, but rather an opportunity for equine photographers to take their photography past technique into matters of the heart.
The weekend will include four model-released photography opportunities, as well as an afternoon lecture with Nita Jo Rush, a 3-star Parelli instructor who travels the country teaching people how to “develop a lasting partnership through love, language and leadership.”
We also recently added a session with Susan Motzko of Executive Results. Susan is a lifelong horsewoman and a contributing author of ‘Games People Play…With Horses’, a guide for planning and executing effective learning through interaction with equines. She will be taking the group through several bonding exercises with horses and helping us to identify when a true connection has been made.
The Instructors for this workshop both have a great deal of teaching and mentoring experience, as well as a lifetime of experience with horses:
Kimerlee Curyl has been teaching wild horse workshops with a strong focus on waiting and “feeling” the shot. She believes every horse has a story to tell, as well as every human who has ever loved a horse. She is ridiculously passionate about all horses, their beauty, their essence their grace and loves to share her experiences with others.
Shelley Paulson’s equine photography focus is equine/human portraiture that captures the true feeling of the relationship people have with their horses. Her passion is to create photographs that will help her clients remember not just how their horse looked, but what it felt like to be with their equine companion.
